Latham, New York has a new happy-hour hotspot. Based on the reviews, though, “any-hour” hotspot is probably more like it.

The 8,000 square foot Brick House Tavern + Tap was built by Shawmut, in partnership with Ignite Restaurant Group and GPD Group, in just twelve weeks. The tavern includes a full bar with over 20 beers on tap, a massive fireplace, HD flat screen TVs, and an outdoor patio with a fire pit. Aside from the extensive beer list and the 100-ounce glass beer bongs (allegedly inspired by the English pub tradition), guests can’t stop looking at the restaurant’s signage. Especially the one that reads “Tap That Glass” above the bar. What people won’t see, though, is the hard work that went into removing the existing tile flooring and staining the underlying concrete to yield a polished surface. The project team also reworked the exterior by replacing the glass storefront with wood framing and brick infill. The finished project is something to celebrate. And where better to do it than at the Brick House Tavern + Tap!
