Shawmut is pleased to announce the addition of two new project executives to its Life Sciences and Healthcare division. Shawn Donovan and Christopher Jankins will oversee operations for major clients throughout the region.

“At Shawmut, we value the vast knowledge and skills that are acquired through years of hands-on experience,” said David Surette, director of Life Sciences and Healthcare at Shawmut. “Shawn and Christopher have nearly seven decades of combined industry experience, which will be integral to exceeding our clients’ expectations.”

Since joining Shawmut, Donovan has worked on projects at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. With more than 37 years of construction experience, Donovan’s past projects have included Boston Medical Center, Maine Medical Center, and Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Donovan received his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has received OSHA 10-hour certification.

With more than 30 years of construction experience including managing and supervising, Jankins has worked on a variety of projects, from fast-track fit-outs to specialty construction on biotechnology and medical spaces. His past clients include MIT, Harvard Medical School, Novartis, and Raytheon. Jankins has his construction supervisor license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is OSHA certified; he has also undergone biohazard safety training.

As a leading contractor of institutional and commercial projects throughout the New England region, the addition of these two executives will help Shawmut continue to expand in the growing life sciences and healthcare segment. Shawmut is currently working on projects at Boston Medical Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Columbia University Medical Center, Biogen Inc., Eli Lilly, and Harvard Medical School.
