LAS VEGAS, NV – When luxury shoe retailer Stuart Weitzman was looking for a construction management partner to build its new store at Caesars, they knew there was only one company that would be the “perfect fit.”

The Forum Shops at Caesars is home to some of the finest retailers in the world. So when Stuart Weitzman decided to open its new store there, it was no surprise they called on their long-time, trusted partner Shawmut Design and Construction to get it done right.

This 3,725 square foot location offers a bright, clean sales area with wood flooring throughout and ceramic tile detail at the displays and portal. The space also boasts high, coved ceilings with track lighting, recessed perimeter light coves, and modern Corian shelving. The new storefront incorporates ribbed HIMAC paneling, powder-coated cladding, glazing, and Luccon stone from Austria that is perforated with tiny striations that illuminate when lit from behind. A completely custom LED system was designed to control the light transmitted through the Luccon stone, perfecting the beautifully constructed storefront.

Much like every aspect of a Stuart Weitzman shoe is carefully engineered, Shawmut took the same approach when renovating this logistically challenging store. The most notable challenge involved acquiring a very special decking that could span the width of the space while also supporting the entire mezzanine. This customized decking took 12 weeks to procure, but didn’t put a dent in the schedule.

The store has been open for only a short time, but is already considered one of the Forum Shops at Caesars’ most beautiful destinations—another example of Shawmut helping Stuart Weitzman put its best foot forward.
