Eaton Vance relocates headquarters to Two International Place in the Financial District
Boston, MA – March 6, 2008 – Shawmut Design and Construction (www.shawmut.com), a leading national construction management firm, is currently in pre-construction on the 11 floors that Eaton Vance Corp. will move into at Two International Place in the spring of 2009. The 309,000 square foot build out of the corporate interior, designed by Childs Bertman Tseckares (cbt) and managed by Jones Lang LaSalle, will be the company’s new home in the Financial District as the leading investment management firm continues to grow and require new and innovative space.
This major corporate interior renovation will include a full kitchen and café, conference center, reception area, trading areas, new communications infrastructure and a roof deck.
To increase flow and interaction among staff spread across multiple floors, each floor will be anchored by a central hub, which contains a kitchen/coffee area, meeting spaces, a communicating stairwell and mail distribution areas.
Given the urban locale of the building and to take advantage of the building’s proximity to the harbor, Eaton Vance will upgrade the existing roof deck. Designed to be accessible to all Eaton Vance employees, the existing roof deck structure will be replaced and new trees and landscaping will be planted.
Eaton Vance will be relocating from their current office at 255 State Street, 200 State Street, and Two Oliver Street upon project completion. Construction on the project is slated to begin in July of 2008 after 17 months of pre-construction and last for nine months.
