Establishment of L.A. Office Coincides with Announcement Shawmut will Build Rodeo Drive Flagships for Ermenegildo Zenga and Tory Burch
Los Angeles, CA – Shawmut Design and Construction, with offices in Boston, New York City, Las Vegas, New Haven, Connecticut and Providence, Rhode Island, is announcing the establishment of its newest office in Los Angeles. Widely regarded as the preferred builder for the world’s most popular and exclusive brands, Shawmut will initially focus on the retail and hospitality sectors.
To coincide with the launch of its Los Angeles outpost, Shawmut is also announcing it has been awarded construction of the Beverly Hills flagship locations for Ermenegildo Zegna at 337 North Rodeo Drive; and Tory Burch at 366 North Rodeo Drive. It has also been awarded construction of Del Frisco’s Grille at 1551 Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica.

Shawmut has been active in Los Angeles since 1995, and has built more than 75 projects in the area over the last 18 years. The Company’s retail group is active nationwide and is renowned for the construction of award-winning flagship stores, particularly along and near Manhattan’s famed Fifth Avenue. This includes the Apple Flagship; LACOSTE Flagship; Louis Vuitton Flagship; Uniqlo; Barney’s; and others.
Shawmut’s hospitality group enjoys similar accolades, recently completing Nobu Matsuhisa’s critically-acclaimed Nobu Malibu on Pacific Coast Highway. It has partnered with culinary superstars such as Eric Ripert to complete the James Beard Award-winning redesign of the famed Manhattan restaurant Le Bernardin; The Waldorf Astoria; The Park Plaza; A Voce; Per Se; Nobu 57; and many more.

The Los Angeles office will initially employ 10 people, with plans to add additional staff in the future.
