San Diego, CA—Shawmut President Les Hiscoe was recently named Rebuilding Together Board Member of the Year at the annual Rebuilding Together National Conference in San Diego. Hiscoe was selected out of 1,600 national board of directors of the organization devoted to providing safe and healthy housing.

“I am extremely honored to receive this award,” said Hiscoe. “I was naturally inclined to join Rebuilding Together—I love using my professional skills as a contractor to give back to the community. Since Hurricane Sandy, there has been an overwhelming need for this organization, and I’m proud to be a part of the New York City team who has accomplished so much for the community.”

Rebuilding Together has provided extensive home rehabilitation and modification services to low-income homeowners across the country for over 25 years. With the help of everyday citizen volunteers, skilled tradespeople and the support of local business and major corporate partners, Rebuilding Together affiliates make life better for thousands of low-income homeowners every year.
