Shawmut and Clearline Real Estate officially broke ground at 2000 Wynwood, a 12-story, 380,000-square-foot mixed-use development set to rise in the vibrant Wynwood neighborhood of Miami.

Located at 2000 North Miami Avenue, the project will bring 310 residential units, 12,500 square feet of ground-floor retail, 308 parking spaces, and 141 bike racks to a walkable, transit-connected corridor known for its art, culture, and nightlife. The design prioritizes wellbeing, rightsizing, and energy efficiency, offering a modern approach to community living in one of Miami’s most sought-after neighborhoods.
“Shawmut is excited to break ground on 2000 Wynwood, a building designed to match the energy and serve the residents of one of Miami’s most creative and high-growth areas,” said Alexis Leal, head of Shawmut’s Florida operations. “Shawmut is proud to build on our 25-year legacy of contributing to Miami’s evolving landscape.”
The groundbreaking event on Friday was attended by Commissioner Ralph Rosado of Miami’s District 4; Jenny Bernell, CEO of Clearline Real Estate; Shawmut’s head of Florida Alexis Leal and executive vice president David Margolius; and members of the project team.

Clearline partnered with architecture firm LEO A DALY, Langan Engineering, and landscape architect Naturalficial to bring the vision for 2000 Wynwood to life. Residents will have access to a curated amenity package that includes an art studio, fitness center, coworking and conference space, and a courtyard area with a pool. A multi-functional space will also serve as a game room, social lounge, and clubhouse, supporting community, connection, and creativity.
2000 Wynwood is the second partnership of Shawmut and Clearline; last month, they marked the topping off of Excel Miami, a 24-story residential tower that is adding a new dimension to the skyline of Miami’s Arts & Entertainment District. The project also expands Shawmut’s rapidly growing portfolio in Florida, with current and recent projects including Town Vineland in Orlando, Manor Miramar in Miramar, Apogee Club in Hobe Sound, Waterway Café in Palm Beach, and work in Fort Lauderdale Marriott North.
