The Boston Globe has named Shawmut one of New England’s Fastest-Growing Companies for 2026, recognizing organizations driving sustained, organic revenue growth across the region.
Produced in partnership with Statista, the annual ranking is considered a definitive measure of high-performing businesses in New England—highlighting companies setting the pace for the region’s economy through innovation, resilience, and long-term growth.
Shawmut’s inclusion reflects a period of significant momentum. Since 2021, the firm has expanded its focus to take on larger, more complex projects, more than doubling revenue to over $2 billion. This growth has been fueled by strong client relationships, with more than 80 percent of the firm’s work coming from repeat partners, and a continued ability to deliver highly customized, high-quality projects through a client-first, tailored approach.
Across New England, that growth is taking shape through projects advancing communities and industries—from the $550 million renovation of Boston University Warren Towers, the second-largest non-military dormitory in the country, to the FM Science and Technology Center, Americas, a 320,000-square-foot research and training campus, to Pawtucket High School, a new $326 million, 375,000-square-foot complex built on the historic site of McCoy Stadium.
The recognition also aligns with Shawmut’s recently announced national growth strategy, which sets a path to $5 billion in revenue through expansion into new sectors and geographies, including mission critical. As the firm continues to scale, strategic investments in leadership, innovation, and client engagement remain central to sustaining momentum and delivering exceptional service across every market.
“Shawmut’s growth has been fueled by taking on larger, more complex projects, but what sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to delivering best-in-class experiences for our clients,” said Kevin Sullivan, executive vice president of Shawmut’s New England region. “That commitment is driven by the strength of our people and the partnerships we build every day.”
