Looking to offer enhanced seating options for season ticket holders, attract a growing fan base, and elevate the matchday experience, the LA Galaxy is refreshing its home stadium, Dignity Health Sports Park. Major League Soccer’s oldest existing soccer-specific stadium, this is the first renovation since Dignity Health Sports Park opened in 2003, and is a multi-year plan to prepare to host the 2028 Summer Olympic games. The first phase, this fast-track, 10-week off-season renovation throughout the stadium was completed ahead of the 2025 season, addressing the growing needs and fandom of the Galaxy.
The LA Galaxy and Dignity Health Sports Park utilized fan feedback to inform decision-making around the stadium renovations, resulting in the highest quality guest experience at LA Galaxy games, concerts, and events. This insight was also used to ensure the upgrades provide the best visitor experience during the Summer 2028 Olympics. To cater to all fans, phase one of the renovation included the addition of accessible seating and premium experiences. The American Express Stadium Club, previously the only premium space, was refreshed, and cabanas expanded Dignity Health Sports Park’s premium amenities and offerings. The cabanas provide a semi-private, open-air gameday experience, utilizing some of the best materials and finishes.
With the soccer offseason only lasting 2.5 months, precise coordination was critical for on-time delivery of the project—and the deadline was nonnegotiable to be ready for the season opener. Detailed planning and continuous communication allowed the team to overcome the logistical challenges of working around and in coordination with simultaneous work and training in the stadium.
