To bring the high-end restaurant’s name, Nami, which means “wave” in Japanese, to life, the team installed a custom wood fin ceiling that flows into the wall, creating a wave appearance. The Shawmut fit-out of the space included a sushi bar, main bar, DJ booth, dining area, kitchen, and mezzanine. The team installed new flooring, kitchen equipment, a double system ceiling, lighting, and high-end finishes. Highlights of the space include the custom wood fin ceiling, silky Japanese Maple trees, and large-scale murals. Located on the first floor of the Lake Nona Wave Hotel, the project required increased safety precautions and noise mitigation to avoid disturbing guests in the fully operational hotel.
