Shawmut is leading construction of the new Pawtucket High School—a transformative $326 million, 375,000-square-foot educational complex rising on the historic site of McCoy Stadium. The largest school project in Rhode Island’s history, this bold investment in public education will deliver a future-ready campus designed to empower 21st-century learners and serve as a community anchor for decades to come.

Developed in collaboration with the City of Pawtucket, Rhode Island Department of Education, and Pawtucket School Department, the new high school will serve approximately 2,100 students and feature flexible, collaborative academic environments; state-of-the-art science, technology, and arts spaces; and inclusive athletic and wellness facilities that support student growth in and out of the classrooms carefully coordinated to reduce impact on students and the surrounding community.
