The new Eastern Standard in Fenway’s Bower Boston pays homage to the original location, including the long marble bar backed by vintage mirrors, this time with a fluted millwork bar face and complemented by hand-poured terrazzo flooring. Throughout the restaurant’s 8,000 square feet, the Shawmut team installed finishes including intricate, handcrafted millwork, vaulted ceilings with fluted millwork trim, and a custom-patterned hardwood floor. Authentic stained glass is featured in a full-height wall and two doors.
Shawmut also completed All That Fish + Oyster and Equal Measure in the Bower Boston, two more of Garrett Harker’s concepts. Connected to Eastern Standard, Equal Measure is a 4,000 square-foot cocktail bar with a private dining room.
