BOSTON, MA – Shawmut graduated 20 members of its Construction Management Skills Training (CMST), during a ceremony held at the Courtyard Marriott in Boston.

As a 100% employee-owned firm, Shawmut's culture of ownership is created through its leadership development program, an immersion plan designed to take college graduates through a three-year program, spending a year each as a project manager, estimator, and superintendent.

In addition to the graduating class, the first ever Coaching Achievement Award was given to Mark Presson in honor of his 17 year commitment to mentoring nearly 50 CMSTs since the program’s launch in 1998.

The CMSTs received personalized tool boxes at the end of the lunch, which were filled with construction tools, office supplies, and leadership tips to assist them as they begin their Shawmut careers.
