LAS VEGAS, NV – Shawmut Design and Construction is pleased to announce Eric Geisler has been named Director of Sports Venues.

Geisler, previously a project executive, will now be responsible for overseeing all Sports Venues activity nationwide while continuing to oversee Shawmut’s operations in the Las Vegas market. In his new role, Geisler will be charged with expanding existing client relationships and developing new partnerships within the industry. He will also manage office and field teams and will be accountable for all aspects of client satisfaction for his projects.

“Eric’s leadership at Shawmut over the past decade has proven to be invaluable to clients like Santa Anita Park and Major League Baseball,” said Randy Shelly, vice president of Shawmut Design and Construction. “I can’t imagine anyone better suited to spearhead our Sports Venues division and continue to grow our portfolio.”

A 15-year industry veteran, Geisler has spent over ten years at Shawmut, focusing primarily on sports and hospitality projects as project executive. In addition to exemplary demonstration of Shawmut’s first-class client service, Geisler has fostered relationships in the Vegas market while contributing significantly to large and technically complex projects nationwide. Geisler has a bachelor’s degree in construction management from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

“Eric has been an exceptional manager on all of our projects at Santa Anita Park,” said William Lehman, owner’s representative at the Stronach Group. “He has tight control on our schedule and budget amidst the most chaotic of circumstances, while keeping his team motivated to the very end.”

Geisler’s promotion comes on the heels of an exciting time for Shawmut’s Sports Venues division, with the group’s extensive work on venues across the nation resulting in 230% growth over the past three years, and a projected overall 400% growth by the end of 2015. Recent work includes left field renovations to Petco Park in San Diego, extensive renovations to Chase Field in Phoenix for Levy Restaurants, site improvements to Madison Square Garden in New York City, multi-year renovations to TD Garden in Boston, and significant renovations to Santa Anita Park just outside of Los Angeles. Under Geisler’s leadership, Shawmut will target luxury suite and VIP spaces, food and beverage improvements, team stores, technology and infrastructure upgrades, and base building renovations. Most recently, the team began off-season upgrades to TD Garden in Boston to be completed in time for the home opener.
