Turns out, even resorts need a little pampering from time to time. That’s the case with the Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Florida. Shawmut, in partnership with Leo A Daly, is performing a massive transformation of the oceanfront property.

Part of the resort’s historic re-imagining includes ten distinct culinary concepts, highlighted by the Shawmut-refreshed Diplomat Prime, a luxury boutique steakhouse serving steaks aged in-house and seasonally driven dishes. The Shawmut team performed minor demolition, rough carpentry, millwork, drywall, carpet installation, and electric upgrades throughout the space.

Beloved by locals and guests since its original launch in 2002, the new iteration of the 5,000 square foot Diplomat Prime features a refined décor, including a 24-seat bar, 68-seat dining room, and nearly floor-to-ceiling wine racks.

The Diplomat Resort & Spa was voted one of the top resorts in Florida by Condé Nast Traveler readers. With dining options like Diplomat Prime at their service, it’s easy to see why.
