Shawmut recently completed the fit-out of the Warriors Shop, a new two-level, 10,500-square foot store for operator Fanatics. By working closely with design-build partner MBH Architects, Shawmut was able to complete the project within 16 weeks.

The Warriors Shop has several special features. Shawmut installed reclaimed hardwood floors from the team’s Oracle court (the Warriors’ previous arena); a custom lighting package with pendant lighting and a radius soffit suspended from the ceiling; and 20’-high window boxes that display images of team players to passersby on the plaza level. In addition, Shawmut designed the structural supports for the oversized millwork fixtures.

Multiple general contractors—with staffs of 2,500 in aggregate—worked on the site daily. Along with constant communication and coordination with these contractors, Shawmut planned for its deliveries to coincide with deliveries to the other on-site contractors. Consequently, Shawmut was able to complete the project on time without disrupting any of the other operations on site.

Incidentally, the Warriors Shop is Shawmut’s third project at Chase Center, and is continuing its partnership with other projects underway.
