In just 56 days, Shawmut completed a 9,500 square-foot renovation of Eleven Madison Park, a three-Michelin Star restaurant currently ranked number one on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list. The team worked alongside Allied Works Architecture to modernize the dining rooms and kitchen with unique finishes and updates, and created an open-flow kitchen to increase efficiency. Working closely with partners chef Daniel Humm and restaurateur Will Guidara, the team ensured that the memory and character of the historic space were preserved, while still allowing the owners to put their aesthetic stamp on Eleven Madison Park. Highlights of the new space include a minimalist sculpture by Daniel Turner that was repurposed from the kitchen’s original metal stove, and doubles as a step up to the main dining room; hanging pendant lights that pre-date the restaurant; and new stained-glass above the entranceway by Olympia Scarry. Eleven Madison Park re-opened on schedule thanks to the team’s intensive pre-construction and procurement processes.
