Continuing Shawmut’s partnership with Chef Thomas Keller, the team built his first property in Florida—The Surf Club Restaurant. New to the iconic Miami club, the 6,500-square-foot space draws on the history and elite clientele of the 1950’s and 60’s, with high-end finishes including terrazzo tile, custom mahogany wood, thick-cut glass, and a hand-painted mural. The team coordinated extensively so as not to disturb the surrounding fully-operational Four Seasons Hotel and occupied high-end condos. For this reason, the team won the ABC Florida East Coast Chapter Excellence in Construction (EIC) Award in the interiors category.
