Vice President David Margolius was named to the 2019 class of design:retail’s 40 Under 40, recognized as one of the next generation of leaders making their mark on retail design. The youngest person in Shawmut history to be named vice president, Margolius recently joined the executive leadership team, developing the growth strategy for the $300-million, 233-person retail division. Since starting his career as a Shawmut intern, Margolius has been entrenched in creatively brainstorming the best ways to deliver designers’ and clients’ visions, bringing to life some of the most iconic, logistically-challenging, and luxurious retail flagships for elite fashion houses including Chanel, Tom Ford, Longchamp, and Yves St. Laurent. Always pushing himself, his team, and Shawmut forward, Margolius was handpicked by the CEO and CPO to chair Shawmut’s Diversity Leadership Council, charged with fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. He is a Posse Foundation mentor, providing support and guidance to talented students. He was also named an ICSC CenterBuild "Rising Retail Leaders Under 40" honoree.

Margolius will be celebrated for being part of 40 Under 40 at design:retail’s HONORS event in New York.
