Noteworthy: The University of Hartford engaged Shawmut Design and Construction for a two-phased expansion and renovation project of its libraries to further enhance them as centers for 21st-century learning and collaboration. The project included interior renovations and an addition to the back of the Mortensen Library, featuring a new three-story addition clad in glass curtainwall for views of the Park River. The creation of flexible workspaces provides more access to a wide variety of media and connects students with learning materials through the latest technology.
