Noteworthy: Forty Five Ten, a luxury boutique brand debuted their second largest store at Hudson Yards, following their four-story flagship in Dallas. The massive store features a multi-section concept housing their ever-evolving collections of women’s and men’s clothing, accessories, home, and beauty. The store features Venetian glass brick across five storefronts which required Shawmut to travel to Italy with the client to source the Venetian glass and create a new brick-laying process as this had never been done in the U.S. before. Each storefront was designed with its own identity yet included consistent design elements to create a cohesive shopping experience. Other unique elements of the space included an alpaca fur cashwrap, Styrofoam lava rock, form glass that created sub-rooms within the storefronts, and a 34-foot column that runs from Level 1 to Level 3 incorporating the same glass brick, drawing shoppers into the store. The entire project team was engaged early on and was able to establish a realistic plan based on everyone’s knowledge and expertise. The personal touch and overall seamless experience that the team provided each other ultimately translated to a beautiful and unique boutique, which is home to the same level of hightouch, personal experience for Forty Five Ten’s customers.
